Paul in Lycaonia

Paul in Lycaonia

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 16, 1 – 5:

Paul reached also Derbe and Lystra where there was a disciple named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek. The brothers in Lystra and Iconium spoke highly of him, and Paul wanted him to come along with him. On account of the Jews of that region, Paul had him circumcised, for they all knew that his father was a Greek. As they traveled from city to city, they handed on to the people for observance the decisions reached by the Apostles and Presbyters in Jerusalem. Day after day the churches grew stronger in faith and increased in number.

Our Lady asked me to write a poem in honor of Her as the Lady of Prince Edward Island, so soon after She told me I composed this hymn:

O Mother Mary, there’s an Island of great beauty,
firmly anchored in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.
Prince Edward Island is this place touched by heaven,
gently guarded by the Father’s Providence.

This little Island was first called ‘Cradle on the wave';
Then it bore the name of John who baptized Jesus with great love,
and now so living embraced by you, our Mother,
who dispenses God’s gifts freely to all those you love.

The people of this fair Isle are your dear children
who accept and acclaim you, Mother of God.
They truly ask your prayers and sure protection
as they work daily to fish and turn the sod.

O come and stay with us, Mary, Mother of us all.
Come and bring your Son Jesus, your pride and joy,
and quickly make your home among us, we humbly pray,
help us follow Christ, and all our faults destroy.

Chorus:
Help us, dear Mother of love
as Jesus taught us so well.
Make us one great family
together with you to dwell.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Take My hand and follow Me My dear brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have offered yourselves completely to Me and desire only to follow Me. Be like Timothy who traveled with Saint Paul to many countries and taught the people about Me wherever he went. My followers spoke highly of this dear friend of mind called Timothy. As Paul and Timothy traveled from one city to another they told the Christians about the Council of Jerusalem and the believers were very pleased to hear the decision taken by the Apostles and Presbyters (the Priests). With this news many people became Christians and entered the Church.
Pray my brothers and sisters that today many people will come and enter My Church so that the Church may grow all the time. I want all those who call themselves My followers will enter the church which is governed by the Pope of Rome, the successor of Saint Peter. I bless you all.”

P.S. On Friday we will have the great feast of the Assumption of Our Blessed Mother. She told me that She will come to visit Me. We had a beautiful day today and I hope we will not have much rain tomorrow.

Delegates at Antioch

Delegates at Antioch

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 15, 30 – 41:

And so Judas and Silas with Saint Paul and Barnabas were sent on their journey. Upon arrival in Antioch they called the assembly together and delivered the letter. When the people read it, they were delighted with the exhortation. Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, exhorted and strengthened the brothers with many words. After they had spent some time there, they were sent off with greetings of peace from the brothers to those who had commissioned them. But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch, teaching and proclaiming with many others the word of the Lord.
After some time, Paul said to Barnabas, “Come, let us make a return visit to see how the brothers are getting on in all the cities where we proclaimed the word of the Lord.” Barnabas wanted to take with them also John, who was called Mark, but Paul insisted that they should not take with them someone who had deserted them in Pamphylia and who had not continued with them in their work. So sharp was their disagreement that they separated. Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus. But Paul chose Silas and departed after being commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord. He traveled through Syria and Cilicia bringing strength to the churches.

A great friend of mine who is now gone home to heaven went to Mamora with his wife and there they prayed the Way of the Cross. Mamora is a small place in Ontario, Canada. While they were praying my friend stopped at the 10th station and did not move for at least ten minutes. His wife did not know what was going on. Later on my friend told me what had happened at that station. When he got there he saw Our Blessed Mother standing there and She was dressed as Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. She looked at him and he looked at Her. She held the Child Jesus in Her arms. My friend was so happy that after he returned from Mamora, he come to see me as soon as he could and told me the whole story. This was to prove that Our Lady is truly appearing in Prince Edward Island.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to read again the letter of the Apostles written in conclusion to the Council of Jerusalem. This letter is very important because now the Gentiles did not have to become Jews when they become Christians. They only have to believe in Me, their Savior, and to follow what I have taught them. The vast majority of the Jews are still non-Christians while the vast majority of the Gentiles have become Christians. They believe in Me and the church that has the largest number of people is truly My Church, the Catholic Church. If you count all the protestants together they will not equal the number of Catholics. I want all those who accept Me as their Messiah and Lord to be united in one church under the leadership of the Bishop of Rome who is the successor of Saint Peter whom I appointed as the founder of My Church. Please pray that this will soon become reality. I bless you all.”

P.S. We had a lovely sunny day today Tuesday and I thank the Lord for this day.

Letter of the Apostles

Letter of the Apostles

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 15, 22 – 29:

Then the apostles and presbyters, in agreement with the whole church, decided to choose representatives and to send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. The ones chosen were Judas, who was called Barsabbas, and Silas, leaders among the brothers. This is the letter delivered by them: “The apostles and the presbyters, your brothers, to the brothers in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia of Gentile origin: greetings. Since we have heard that some of our number who went out without any mandate from us have upset you with their teachings and disturbed your peace of mind, we have with one accord decided to choose representatives and to send them to you along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, who have dedicated their lives to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. So we are sending Judas and Silas who will also convey this same message by word of mouth. It is the decision of the Holy Spirit and of us not to place on you any burden beyond these necessities, namely, to abstain from meats sacrificed to idols, from blood, from meats of strangled animals, and from unlawful marriage. If you keep free of these, you will be doing what is right. Farewell.”

I prayed over the phone for a man who had terminal cancer. He was in bed and he could not get up any more. After I prayed with him, the next day his wife phoned me and said that her husband got up after I had prayed with him and he took a shower all by himself. He felt much better. May the Lord be praised.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I know that you agree with the letter written by the Apostles and Presbyters My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have great faith in the Holy Spirit. You all have received the Holy Spirit and you know that He works among you and He enlightens all the leaders of the Church including the Pope to write the truth as I gave it to the Apostles when I was living on earth. Today we read in the Acts of the Apostles what was written by the Council of Jerusalem. They maintained that the Gentiles do not have to be circumcised but they should follow the teachings giving in this letter. They should not eat the meat sacrificed to idols and they should not eat blood or meat of strangled animals. The Apostles also told them not to get involve in unlawful marriages. After this letter the Pharisees had nothing else to say but to follow the teachings of the Apostles.
The Church has held Ecumenical Councils throughout its years and the last one was the Second Council of the Vatican in the 1960’s. That Council also taught you a good many things and all that it taught is true and all Catholics should follow it. Some however went beyond what the Council taught and this is not right. There is today a big problem of confession. Many Catholics do not go to confession today and this has to change. My Blessed Mother in an apparition said that Catholics should go to confession at least once a month. I call you all to start following what She said. I bless you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. I had a mostly sunny day on Monday but there were some clouds especially in the late afternoon. The temperature was fine.
