Imprisonment at Philippi

Imprisonment at Philippi

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 16, 16 – 24:

As Paul and his companions were going to the place of prayer, they met a slave girl with an oracular spirit, who used to bring a large profit to her owners through her fortune telling. She began to follow Paul and us, shouting, “These people are slaves of the Most High God, who proclaim to you a way of salvation.” She did this for many days. Paul became annoyed, turned, and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” Then it came out at that moment.
When her owners saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them to the public square before the local authorities. They brought them before the magistrates and said, “These people are Jews and are disturbing our city and are advocating customs that are not lawful for us Romans to adopt or practice. The crowd joined in the attack on them, they threw them into prison and instructed the jailer to guard them securely. When he received these instructions, he put them in the innermost cell and secured their feet to a stake.

I also composed a prayer to Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. Our Lady herself asked me to write this prayer. It is a prayer requesting her to bless the Island and kept it free from the scourge of abortion. It also expresses our longing for the shrine.

Prayer to Our Lady of Prince Edward Island

O Blessed Virgin Mary, your are Our Lady of Prince Edward Island,
Mother of Jesus, our Savior and our Lord,
Mother and Protectrice of us all, we thank you for choosing this Island
to be blessed with a shrine in your honor.

We your children, come to you to ask your help.
Intercede before your Son, dearest Mother,
that all your children who are ill may find health,
that all may repent and obtain forgiveness for their sins,
that all may receive the fullness of grace,
and that all may be delivered from every evil. (to continue tomorrow)

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Come and follow Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who love Me and do not be afraid to suffer. You know how I have suffered when I was on earth although I did not commit any sin. I suffered horribly until death on the cross for your salvation. In the reading today you read that Paul and Silas were arrested for driving out an evil spirit from a young woman. They were attacked by the people and all kinds of false accusations were hurled against them. At the end they were put in prison and they told the guard to guard them securely. They were put in the innermost cell and their feet were secured to a stake. Again these friends of mine had done nothing wrong but they had done a good thing by freeing this woman from an evil spirit.
So if you are attacked and brought before a magistrate, do not fear, know that I am there very close to you. I will help you and if you are in prison I will deliver you from that place. I love you all.”

P.S. It is cloudy today but we did not have any rain. I thank the Lord for all this

Paul Through Asia Minor

Paul Through Asia Minor

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 16, 6 – 15:

Paul and his companions traveled through the Phrygian and Galatian territory because they had been prevented by the Holy Spirit from preaching the message in the Province of Asia. When they came to Mysia, they tried to go on into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them, so they crossed through Mysia and came down to Troas. During the night Paul had a vision. A Macedonian stood before him and implored him with these words, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” When he had seen the vision, we sought passage to Macedonia at once, concluding that God had called us to proclaim the good news to them.
We set sail from Troas, making a straight run for Samothrace, and on the next day to Neapolis, and from there to Philippi, a leading city in that district of Macedonia and a Roman colony. We spent some time in that city. On the sabbath we went outside the city gate along the river where we thought there would be a place of prayer. We sat and spoke with the women who had gathered there. One of them, a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth, from the city of Thyatira, a worshiper of God, listened and the Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what Paul was saying. After she and her household had been baptized, she offered us an invitation, “If you consider me a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my home,” and she prevailed on us.

Our Lady asked me to compose a Prayer of Consecration to her and requested that people read it prayerfully.

Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

O Mother Mary, so full of love for your children, I come to consecrate myself to your Immaculate Heart. I entrust to you my whole life, my mind and my will. May you dispose of me according to Jesus’ plan for my salvation. Impress in my heart a true love for Jesus, your Son, and for you, my dear Mother. Keep me humble of heart as you showed us by your shining example. Give me a renewed spirit of prayer and penance, a fervent love for the Church and the Holy Eucharist, and the fervour to spread the message of Jesus to all those I meet. May you cover me with your holy mantle, in order to preserve me from every sin and to help me practice the Christian virtues, especially purity. Help me, dearest Mother, to do the will of the Father every day. Amen.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who walk with Me every day. Repent of all your sins so that you may receive all the graces you need to avoid the evil one and to live in union with Me. As you see from the reading Paul and his companions were always full of zeal to go to foreign countries and to proclaim the Good News to all those who were ready to listen. In Philippi, Paul taught a woman called Lydia and she believed and was baptized with her whole household. She was one who prayed regularly. She took Paul and his companions and gave them a place to sleep in her home and she fed them.
All those who work for Me, I want you to help them and make sure that they have a place to stay and food to eat. In helping them, you are helping Me, your Savior. I love you all and I call you all to help to bring many people to Me. I bless you all.”

P.S. We had a beautiful day on Saturday but it will be cool during the night.

The Woman and the Dragon

The Woman and the Dragon

A reading from the Book of Revelation 12, 1 – 17:

A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its head were seven diadems. It tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne. The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, that thee she might be taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days.
Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back, but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The huge dragon, the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world, was thrown down to earth, and its angels were thrown down with it.
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have salvation and power come, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Anointed. For the accuser of our brothers is cast out, who accuses them before our God day and night. They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death.
Therefore, rejoice, you heavens, and you who dwell in them.
But woe to you, earth and sea, for the Devil has come down to you in great fury, for he knows he has but a short time.”

Prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary:

Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,Mother of the Church and Mother of all believers, you are the bright star of our lives. We venerate you Mary, Mother of Jesus, conceived and born without sin, ever Virgin. We come to you, your children, with hearts full of love and respect. We ask you to protect us and may you always show your maternal care to us all.

We dedicate ourselves to you today, dear Mother, to work in close union with you for the spread of the Kingdom of God in our midst. We resolve to follow Jesus, your divine Son, by a life of poverty, chastity and obedience, modeled on the life He led while on earth. Obtain for us, dearest Mother, the grace, the strength and the resolve to work only for Jesus without counting the cost. Help us, we pray, to sow love among all the people we meet and bring us all one day home with You in heaven to live in happiness with the Father, with Jesus, our Brother, and with the Holy Sprit. Amen.”

Below you will find the message of Our dearest Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I bless you, My son Melvin, and all My sons and daughters who work together with Jesus and I for the conversion of the people of the world. You know that Jesus is your Savior but there is another one the devil who is at work to bring you all to follow him. He wanted to destroy My Son Jesus but it was on the cross where He died that He conquered the evil one. By His death he saved you all who believe in Him. My role was to give birth to the Son of God and to take care of Him when He was young. St. Joseph, My husband, also worked hard to take care of both of us. He took us to Egypt for about seven years and there he worked hard so we could have a house to live in and food to eat. My Son Jesus defeated the evil one and He calls you all to follow Him, your Savior. Come with an open heart and accept all that He wants to give you and one day you will be with us in heaven. I bless you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. Our Blessed Mother came to visit me this afternoon, August 15, and She gave me a message for you all. It will be published in my next Newsletter at the beginning of September. May the Lord fill you all with His love and joy.
