Saul’s Conversion

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 9, 1 – 9|:

Now Saul, still breathing murderous threats against the disciples of
the Lord, went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the
synagogues in Damascus, that, if he should find any men or women who
belonged to the Way, he might bring them back to Jerusalem in chains.
On his journey, as he was nearing Damascus, a light from the sky
suddenly flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice
saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” He said, “Who
are you, sir?” The reply came, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.
Now get up and go into the city and you will be told what you must
do.” The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, for they
heard the voice but could see no one. Saul got up from the ground, but
when he opened his eyes he could see nothing; so they led him by the
hand and brought him to Damascus. For three days he was unable to see,
and he neither ate nor drank.

I still have a sore leg and a sore foot. Some nights I do not fall
asleep before midnight. A friend of mine gave me a salve which I
spread all over my right foot and after a few hours the pains goes and
I can sleep. Please pray for me that this pain will soon go away.
About two weeks ago I was on my way to Charlottetown, Prince Edward
Island, when all of a sudden my van stopped in the middle of the road.
I tried to get it started again but it would not work. I had to leave
it in Charlottetown and one of my relatives drove me home. Yesterday,
I was phoned and I was told that my van was now fixed. I will have to
pay $735.00 for the repair. I hope tomorrow or Sunday someone will be
able to drive the van home and I must find $735.00 to pay the workers.
I am in need of help so if anyone can help me, I would be very happy
indeed. Already a few have sent me money and for this I am very
pleased indeed.

Below you will find the message given to me by Our Lord and Saviour.
This is what Jesus told me, “I love you My brother Melvin and all
those who will read these words of mine. The quotation from the Bible
is about the conversion of Saul who became St. Paul. You know that
Saul was very anti-Christian and he was resolved to destroy My Church.
On his way to Damascus, I knock him down from his horse. They saw a
bright light around him and they heard My words, “Saul, Saul, why are
you persecuting Me?” Saul said, “Who are you, sir?” I replied saying,
“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.” Paul is not the only ¬†one that
I converted in a very special way. There are plenty in every country
even today that were converted by Me. So that many more will be
converted, I need your prayers. Please pray every day for those people
who do not have faith in Me, they never pray and they do not go to
church. In praying for these people you will cause Me to give them
special graces of conversion. They will come to believe in Me and
become Christians and love to go to church and receive Me in Holy
Communion. I bless you all.”

Father Melvin
