Persecution of the Church

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 8, 1 – 3:

On that day, there broke out a severe persecution of the church in
Jerusalem, and all were scattered throughout the countryside of Judea
and Samaria, except the apostles. Devout men buried Stephen and made a
loud lament over him. Saul, meanwhile, was trying to destroy the
church; entering house after house and dragging out men and women, he
handed them over for imprisonment.

We had a beautiful sunny day today but we had heavy rain and some
thunder last night. The farmers are happy for the rain they got. It
will help the potato fields to get the potatoes to grow faster.
I celebrate Holy Mass every day and I thank those who send me
intentions for Masses. As you know I celebrate three Masses a week for
a full year for those who are written in the Book of  Remembrance. I
know that many have received special gifts and graces from the Lord
since these Masses started.

Below you will find the message of Our Redeemer given to Father
Melvin. Jesus gave him the following words,

“I love you My brother
Melvin and all those who pray regularly and go to Holy Mass at least
every Sunday.
The above reading from the Bible tells you what happened in Jerusalem
after the death of Saint Stephen. The Jews started to persecute the
Christians by throwing them in prison and also beating them. They
wanted to destroy My Church, which I founded on the Apostles. Many
Christians fled from Jerusalem and went to hide in Judea and Samaria.
Among those who persecuted the Christians was Saul who became Paul
after his conversion.
There are Catholics who are being persecuted today especially in the
Middle East. The Mohammedans would like to kill all the Catholics and
destroy the Church. I call you all to pray for all those who are
suffering because of persecution. Pray for them every day.”
