Stephen’s Martyrdom

A reading from Acts 7, 51 – 60:

Stephen said, “You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and
ears; you always oppose the Holy Spirit; you are just like your
ancestors. Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute?
They put to death those who foretold the coming of the righteous one,
whose betrayers and murderers you have now become. You received the
law as transmitted by angels, but you did not observe it.”
When they heard this, they were infuriated, and they ground their
teeth at him. But he, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked up intently
to heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right
hand of God, and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened and the
Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” But they cried out in a
loud voice, covered their ears, and rushed upon him together. They
threw him out of the city, and began to stone him. The witnesses laid
down their cloaks at the feet of a young man named Saul. As they were
stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Then
he fell to his knees and cried out in a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold
this sin against them”; and when he said this, he fell asleep.

We have beautiful summer weather. Every day now it is over 20 degrees
Celsius. We have rain at times but the farmers are happy as the
potatoes they sowed are now budding with the nice rain we have every
few days. I see that very few people are sending names to put into the
Book of Remembrance. You know that I offer three Masses a week for all
those whose names are in the Book of Remembrance and I will continue
to offer Masses for them for a full year. You can put the names of the
living and the dead in that book. It only costs $15 to enter one
person in that book for all the Masses for a full year. Please go to
my website under the name of Our Lady of PEI Inc. and on the next page
you will find Paypal and you can send your money by using paypal. Just
fill out the form that you will find there.

Below you will find the messageĀ  of Our Lord and Savior given to
Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother
Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have great faith in Me and
follow Me every day. The Bible message above is about the martyr Saint
Stephen. He lived in Jerusalem and he knew that the Jews were against
Me and that they were the ones who nailed Me to the cross and I died.
So Saint Stephen was not afraid to tell the Jews that they opposed the
Holy Spirit; that they killed the prophets I sent to them; they
received the law from God the Father but they did not observe it.
The Jews who were listening to Stephen became very angry and they
rushed at him and took him out of the city. Then they started to stone
him. One of those who was present with the Jews was Saul who had not
yet been converted. When he finally converted his name was changed to
Paul. When Stephen was about to die he shouted out, “Lord Jesus,
receive my spirit.” As he fell to his knees, he said, “Lord, do not
hold this sin against them.” After that Stephen died. He is one of the
first martyrs of the church. Right after his death, he was carried to
heaven and he is a great saint in heaven with God. I bless you all.”
