The Appearance to the Disciples in Jerusalem

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 24, 36 – 49:

While they were still speaking, Jesus stood in their midst and said to
them, “Peace be with you.” But the Apostles were startled and
terrified and thought that they were seeing a ghost. Then He said to
them, “Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your
hearts? Look at My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Touch Me
and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see
I have.” And as He said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.
While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed, He asked
them, “Have you anything here to eat?” They gave Him a piece of baked
fish; He took it and ate it in front of them. He said to them, “These
are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that
everything written about Me in the law of Moses and in the prophets
and psalms must be fulfilled.” Then He opened their minds to
understand the scriptures. And He said to them, “Thus it is written
that the Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day
and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached
in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are
witnesses of these things. And behold I am sending the promise of My
Father upon you; but stay in the city until you are clothed with power
from on high.”

We had a beautiful sunny day today although in the past few days we
have had rain and a little snow. There is no more snow around the
house but there is still some in the woods. It will take a little
while yet before that snow goes away.
I had a very nice Feast of Easter and I thank all those who have sent
me money to buy what I need. I did not pay all my bills yet so if you
can help me, I would be very happy indeed.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father
Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Peace be with you My brother Melvin and all of you My brothers and sisters who celebrated the Feast of Easter with Me. You know that I died on the cross and was buried and after three days I came back to life and went to visit My Mother, the women at the tomb and then I went to visit My Apostles. The
Apostles had great difficulty to believe when they saw Me in front of
them. They thought I was a ghost and they were very afraid. I had to
show them My hands and My feet with the marks of the nails and I asked
them to touch Me to see that I had truly bones and flesh. At the end I
asked them if they had anything to eat. They gave Me a piece of cooked
fish and I ate it in front of them. At the end they began to accept
that I was truly Jesus, the Son of God. I also taught them about what
the Bible said about Me. I had done everything written in the Bible
about Me.
My dear friends, I call you all to believe that I am the Risen One who
will never die again. I am your Savior who suffered and died to atone
for your sins and to open heaven for you. Come now, follow Me and you
will be with Me in heaven one day. I love you all.”
