Instructions for the Time of Crisis

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 22, 35 – 38.

Jesus said to the Disciples, “When I sent you forth without a money bag or a sack or sandals, were you in need of anything?” “No, nothing,” they replied. He said to them, “But now one who has a money bag should take it, and likewise a sack, and one who does not have a sword should sell his cloak and buy one. For I tell you that this scripture must be fulfilled in Me, namely, ‘He was counted among the wicked’, and indeed what is written about Me is coming to fulfillment.” Then they said, “Lord, look, there are two swords here.” But He replied, “It is enough!”

What a nice day we had today. It was sunny all day and the little snow that fell last night was all melted by noon today. I hope we will have many beautiful days in the next few weeks. Tomorrow is usually the Feast of Saint Joseph but because the 19th March is a Sunday, the Feast will be held on Monday, March 20th this year. Saint Joseph is also my feast day as my name is Joseph Melvin Doucette. My first name is Joseph. I have a great love for Saint Joseph for he is the foster father of Jesus, Our Savior. He worked hard to take care of Jesus and His Mother and he did very well.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:

“I love you My brother Joseph Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who pray regularly and go to church regularly. At the end of the Last Supper, I spoke to My Apostles telling them that they should have money, a sack to carry some food and a sword. Now the time for the fulfillment of the scripture has arrived . I will be arrested, they will agree that I should be crucified and I will carry My cross to the top of the hill and there I will be crucified and after a few hours I will die. The trial tried to show that I was a wicked person and I should die. This is now very near and I asked you all to follow Me.
My dear friends, you know all about My arrest, My trial and My condemnation. You also know that I was nailed to the cross and there on the cross I died. I died to save you all by taking away your sins. Come now follow Me and you will be with Me in heaven one day. I bless you all.”
