Exhortation to Preparedness

A reading from Saint Peter’s Second Letter 3, 11 -16:

Since everything is to be dissolved in this way, what sort of persons ought you to be, conducting yourselves in holiness and devotion, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved in flames and the elements melted by fire. But according to his promise we await new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
Therefore, beloved, since you await these things, be eager to be found without spot or blemish before him, at peace. And consider the patience of our Lord as salvation, as our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, also wrote to you, speaking of these things as he does in all his letters. In them there are some things hard to understand that the ignorant and unstable distort to their own destruction, just as they do the other scriptures.

On Saturday morning, there was a little bit of snow in the fields but not on the roads. The snow in the fields melted around 9:00 a.m. and no snow fell during the day. However, we might get some more during the night. It is colder these days and during the night it comes close to 0 degrees Celsius. I hope the temperature will come up again soon before Christmas. Well some houses around here are already decorated for Christmas and it is beautiful to see all those beautiful lights. Tomorrow we begin the season of Advent.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:

I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who await the celebration of My Great Feast of Christmas. You have a time called Advent, to prepare for the Day of My Birth.
In the letter of Saint Peter, he writes about the end of the world. He wants you all to prepare for this special day. All must conduct themselves in holiness and devotion. Every day you must await the coming of these last days when I return to earth to judge you all and then every person will leave the earth, the good ones will come with Me to heaven but the evil ones will go to hell where they belong. Then the earth will be destroyed by fire and no one will ever live there. Come now My dear friends, and do what Saint Peter tells you and you will indeed be saved. Yes, I want that every person be saved but for this to happen you must turn to Me and follow Me every day of your life. I bless you all.

Father Melvin
