Lessons from the Past

A reading from the Second Letter of Saint Peter 2, 4 – 10:

For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but condemned them to the chains of Tartarus and handed them over to be kept for judgment; and if he did not spare the ancient world, even though he preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, together with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the godless world; and if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gommorah to destruction, reducing them to ashes, making them an example of the godless people of what is coming; and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man oppressed by the licentious conduct of unprincipled people (for day after day that righteous man living among them was tormented in his righteous soul at the lawless deeds that he saw and heard), then the Lord knows how to rescue the devout from trial and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment, and especially those who follow the flesh with its depraved desire and show contempt for lordship.

We had a cloudy day today Wednesday and it is raining this evening. It is getting cool especially at night as it goes down to 5 degrees Celsius. We had a beautiful sunny day yesterday Tuesday. I thank all those who send names to be put in the Book of Remembrance and I continue to celebrate three Masses a day for all those written in the book. As you know it costs $15 to write one person in the Book of Remembrance. May the Lord bless you all.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I love you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who walk along the right road that I pointed out to you. As we see today in the Letter of Saint Peter, the Father punished the angels in the past who followed Satan. He also punished the people of the ancient world and saved Noah a righteous man and seven others who were good people. Look what He did to the people of Sodom and Gommorah. The only one He saved was Lot who was a good man. All the other people of those two cities were destroyed because of their horrible sins. However, the Father rescued the devout people and He is always there to help them.
My dear brothers and sisters, remain always close to Me and never give in to the flesh and those desires that show contempt for Me. I love you all and I bless you.”
