Christian Spouses

A reading from the First Letter of Saint Peter 3, 1 – 12:

Likewise, you wives should be subordinate to your husbands so that even if some disobey the word, they may be won over without a word by their wives conduct when they observe your reverent and chaste behavior. Your adornment should not be an external one; braiding the hair, wearing gold jewelry, or dressing in find clothes, but rather the hidden character of the heart, expressed in the imperishable beauty of a gentle and calm disposition, which is precious in the sight of God. For this is also how the holy women who hoped in God once used to adorn themselves and were subordinate to their husbands; thus Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him “lord.” You are her children when you do what is good and fear no intimidation.
Likewise, you husbands should live with your wives in understanding, showing honor to the weaker female sex, since we are join heirs of the gift of live, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
Finally all of you, be of one mind sympathetic, loving toward one another, compassionate, humble. Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult; but on the contrary, a blessing, because to this you were called, that you might inherit a blessing. For: “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep the tongue from evil and the lips from speaking deceit, must turn from evil and do good, seek peace and follow after it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears turned to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against evildoers.”

We had two days of rain and the sun did not shine these last two days. Rain will continue during the night and tomorrow especially in the forenoon. I hope the sun will come out in the afternoon. The weather is cold these days and we need heat in the house. We should have sunny days during the coming week. I pray for you all ask the Lord to give you His love, peace and joy.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I love you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who pray every day asking Me for the graces you need. It is very important to pray for married couples. So many break up every year and are divorced. I want all the married couples to live together in peace and joy and to have children and to bring them up. In Saint Peter’s letter, we find that wives should be subordinate to their husbands and that their husbands must love their wives so that you can pray without any hindrance.
Come My dear friends and follow Me. You must always be ready to forgive your partner and to love and care for him or her. I bless you all.”
