The Parable of the Wedding Feast

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 22, 1 – 14:

Jesus again in reply spoke to them in parables, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven may be likened to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. He dispatched his servants to summon the invited guests to the feast, but they refused to come. A second time he sent other servants, saying, ‘Tell those invited: “Behold, I have prepared my banquet, my calves and fattened cattle are killed, and everything is ready; come to the feast.” Some ignored the invitation and went away, one to his farm, another to his business. The rest laid hold of his servants, mistreated them, and killed them. The king was enraged and sent his troops, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. Then he said to his servants,’The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy to come. Go out, therefore, into the main roads and invite to the feast whomever you find.’ The servants went out into the streets and gathered all they found, bad and good alike, and the hall was filled with guests. But when the king came in to meet the guests he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment. He said to him, ‘My friend, how is it that you come in here without a wedding garment?’ But he was reduced to silence. Then the king said to his attendants, ‘Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the darkness outside, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.’ Many are invited, but few are chosen.

We had a beautiful Saturday today with the sun shining from morning till night but it was more windy in the evening. I went to Summerside today with a friend and we spent a lovely afternoon. Monday I will have to pay another bill and I am praying that the money needed for building what Our Heavenly Mother asked and what Our Lord asked will come in shortly. Again I thank all those who sent me donations. May the Lord bless you all.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I love you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who listen to Me every day. Yes, I have called you all to follow after Me and to be Christians who pray every day and love to go to church every Sunday and even during the week.
I told My Apostles and those who followed Me, the parable of the Wedding Feast. The Wedding Feast refers to the Kingdom of God. You know that I am the King of the Kingdom of God. All are invited to enter this eternal Kingdom but in the parable I said that those who were invited refused to come. I sent more servants but they killed My servants. So, I sent the army to that city and destroyed it. This refers to the Jewish people. They were the first invited to join the Kingdom of God but they refused, so the city of Jerusalem and their country was destroyed and the people who survived were thrown out. Then now all the people in all the countries of the world were invited to enter the Kingdom and many came. Today there are many people from all over the world in the Kingdom of God. Pray, My friends, that the Jewish nation may soon come to believe in Me and become part of My Kingdom. You who are already in the Kingdom, continue your good work on earth and one day you will be with Me in the eternal Kingdom. I bless you all.
