Occasion for Writing

A reading from the Letter of Jude,

Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept safe for Jesus Christ; may mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.
Beloved, although I was making every effort to write to you about our common salvation, I now feel a need to write to encourage you to contend for the faith that was once for all handed to the holy ones. For there have been some intruders, who long ago were designated for this condemnation, godless persons, who pervert the grace of our God into licentiousness and who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
I wish to remind you, although you know all things, that the Lord who once saved a people from the land of Egypt later destroyed those who did not believe. The angels too, who did not keep to their own domain but deserted their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains, in gloom, for the judgment of the great day. Likewise, Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding towns, which, in the same manner as they, indulged in sexual promiscuity and practiced unnatural vice, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.”

We had a beautiful day on Monday with plenty of sunshine and the weather was mild. We should have another beautiful day tomorrow with the temperature above the freezing point. I am in real trouble now. My van and the van of my friend who lives with me are both damaged. I need new tyres for mine and my friend needs new breaks for his and we do not have the money to get them repaired. A new tyre costs $200 and my friend needs $350 to buy new brakes for his back wheel. I hope some of you will help us. Thank you very much.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I love you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have great faith in Me and thank Me every day for the gift of faith which I gave each one of you. I came on earth to bring you salvation if you believe in Me and follow Me every day. I have given you all many gifts and I want you to accept these gifts such as faith, love and hope and live in My Kingdom. However, there are some who are intruders, who refuse to accept Me and fight against Me and My Church. Those who do such things are condemned and are godless people who pervert the graces I gave them and do not follow the commandments of My Father and deny Me, your Lord and Savior.
You know that in the past My Father saved the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt by bringing them out of that country with great power. They were able to cross the Red Sea on bare ground and they spent forty years in the desert where He fed them all those years. It is there in the desert that they truly became the people of God. He made a covenant with them at the foot of Mount Sinai and they were blessed indeed. They were able to go back home and take over their country once more. The Egyptians who caused much suffering to the Jews were destroyed at the same time. Likewise, the people of Sodom and Gomorrah who lived a life of sexual promiscuity and unnatural vice were punished by fire and their towns completely destroyed. So, I call you, My friends, do not follow the example of this sinful people because if you do, you too, will end up in everlasting fire in hell. I came to live among you, My people, to establish My Kingdom and to call you all to enter the Kingdom with special graces and one day to enter heaven where you will live with the Father, with Me and the Holy Spirit, together with all the angels and saints forever. Continue your march towards the Promised Land. I bless you all.”
