Warning against Presumption

A reading from the Letter of James 4, 13 – 17:

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we shall go into such and such a town, spend a year there doing business, and make a profit”–you have no idea what your life will be like tomorrow. You are a puff of smoke that appears briefly and then disappears. Instead you should say, “If the Lord wills it, we shall live to do this or that.” But now you are boasting in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, it is a sin.

We had a beautiful sunny day today Wednesday after three days of rain. We got a little snow on Saturday and Sunday but now it is almost all gone. By tomorrow it should all be melted. If some of you could help me a bit, I would be very pleased indeed. May the Lord bless you all.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“You are My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who follow Me and practice humility and forgiveness. Many people decide on their own to do this or that. They do not worry about what I want them to do. This is presumption which means that you think you have the right to do whatever you like. You act with pride thinking you are in charge of the future and the days belong to you. In that case you have very little faith and one day you will be punished for doing what is wrong.
I call you My friends to pray before attempting to do anything. Know that I am in charge and you cannot carry out any plan unless I will it. So pray that you do My will every day. Another thing that is important is that you do what is lawful and good. Some decide to do things that are wrong and in that case they are committing sin. Remember you have been called by Me to a mission and that is what you are to do. You have to complete that mission and I will help you to accomplish this mission. If you do not know what is your mission, then pray so that I can tell you what your mission is. Your mission is a life-time of work for something very special. All that you will do will help you to accomplish it. Come My friends and follow Me and work together with Me. In that case you will be blessed. I love you all.”
