The First Community in Jerusalem

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 1, 13 – 14:

When they entered the city they went to the upper room where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.

One day my niece and her husband came to see me to ask me to pray for them. My niece had lupus and the doctors had told her that she will never have a child. So they asked me to pray that the Lord blesses them with a child. I prayed on both of them in the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island asking Our Lord through the intercession of Our Dear Mother to bless them with a child. After four or five months, my niece phoned me to let me know that she was pregnant. Her pregnancy came to term and she gave birth to a little boy. Now she has two children. I thank the Lord for the blessing you gave to this couple.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Come and follow Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters as we relive the great day of Pentecost. After My Ascension, the Apostles together with some women and My Mother went to the place where I had celebrated the Last Supper and instituted the Holy Eucharist. They were there for nine days spending the days in prayer to await what I had told them. As you can see this was the first novena and it was celebrated by My Apostles, some women and My Dear Mother. The doors of the building were locked so no one could come in for the Apostles feared the Jews. They were all awaiting the arrival of the Holy Spirit and it was a great day indeed. It is called Pentecost because the word means fifty days after My resurrection. Come and join the Apostles and the women and My Mother for this great feast. I will send the Holy Spirit on you all if you join with them.”

P.S. We had some rain on Thursday morning but the sun came out around noon and we had a beautiful sunny afternoon. We will get some more rain on Friday. May the Lord bless you all.
