The First Prediction of the Passion

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 16, 21 – 23:

From that time on, Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer greatly from the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised. Then Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, “God forbid, Lord! No such thing shall ever happen to you.” He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle to me. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do.”

Yesterday the 15th April, it was 17 degrees Celsius in the Tignish area where I live. It was 20 degrees at the town of Summerside which is one hour from where I live. A great part of the snow melted last night and during the day. The piles of snow I had behind my house are all gone and now I am looking forward to see the green grass. I thank the Lord for this fine day.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I ask you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who are very near to Me if you think like Saint Peter. When I told the Apostles about My suffering and that I would be killed but after three days I will come back to life. Saint Peter could not accept this and that is why he said, ‘God forbid, Lord! No such thing shall ever happen to you.” Of course Saint Peter accepted Me as the Savior and as the Son of God. He could never think that I would be killed by the Jews. Yet that is exactly what was to happen so I could atone for the sins of all the people of the world. Peter was thinking like a human being and not as God was thinking. Our Heavenly Father loved all the people because He had created them all but only the suffering and dying of His Son could pay the price for the sins committed by all the people of the world. Through My suffering and death, I opened heaven so that those who repented of their sins and were forgiven, would be able to enter heaven and live with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and all the angels and saints forever. This is the destination of each one of you. If you do not reach heaven, you can only blame yourselves because you have been given all that you need to get to heaven. Some however, are refusing to believe in Me as their Savior and they refuse to stop sinning. They do not pray and go to church. So they follow Satan and their is no salvation for those who follow the devil. If you are with the devil, it is time that you change your life and come and follow Me. I am the only one who can save you. I bless you all.”
