Healing of a Man with Dropsy

Dear Friends,

On a Sabbath Jesus went to dine at the home of one of the leading Pharisees, and the people there were observing him carefully. In front of him there was a man suffering from dropsy. Jesus spoke to the scholars of the law and Pharisees in reply, asking, “Is it lawful to cure on the Sabbath or not?” But they kept silent; so he took the man and, after he had healed him, dismissed him. Then he said to them, “Who among you, if your son or ox falls into a cistern, would not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?” But they were unable to answer his question. (Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 14:1-6)

More and more people are subscribing to the Newsletter of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island. If I receive messages from Our Blessed Mother I put them in the Newsletter. I put it out four times a year and I send it out by post. It costs $12.00 for the people of Canada and $15.00 for those who live outside Canada.

Almost every day people write to me that they wish to inscribe their names and the names of the members of their families in the Book of Remembrance. Those who are inscribed in this book take part in two Holy Masses a week and also I pray the rosary for them every day and other prayers are offered for them. It costs only $15.00 to inscribe a person for one year. There are people who write to me from Mexico, Belgium, France and all over the USA and Canada to be inscribed in this book. There have been healings and people have been converted who are inscribed.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I love you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in the world. I always await your love in return. I have compassion on all of you who suffer in any way. I had compassion on this man with the sickness called dropsy and I healed him on the Sabbath, the Day of the Lord. You would go and help your son or daughter if he or she fell on the Sabbath and was bleeding; you would take him or her to the hospital immediately. I did the same thing with this man who was suffering. Come to Me every day and I will help you.”
