A sword will pierce your heart

Dear Friends,

When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses, his parents took the Child Jesus up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, just as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male that opens the womb shall be consecrated to the Lord,” and to offer the sacrifice of “a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons,” in accordance with the dictate in the law of the Lord. Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, awaiting the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. … When the parents brought in the child Jesus to perform the custom of the law in regard to him, Simeon took him into his arms and blessed God, saying: “Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.” The child’s father and mother were amazed at what was said about him; and Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradicted and you yourself a sword will pierce so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” (Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 2:22-25, 27b-35)

I will celebrate Holy Mass this morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island for the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. So Our Blessed Mother gave me a message today and She refers to the prophecy of Simeon when St. Joseph and Our Blessed Mother brought the Baby Jesus to the Temple in Jerusalem.

Here below is the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I bless you, My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters living in all the different continents of the world. Today is My Feast under the title of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. It is fitting then that I refer to the Bible passage where Simeon prophesied that a sword would pierce My heart. This prophecy was fulfilled when I stood at the foot of the cross of My Son Jesus and suffered a spiritual martyrdom as I saw My Son dying in such horrible pain for the salvation of all the people of the world.

It was at the cross before He died that Jesus gave Me to you all to be your Mother. As your Mother I address you all these words: Wake up, My children, before it is too late. Return to your Lord and Savior with great faith and repent of all your sins. Come and be full members of the Church that your divine Savior established upon the Apostles with Peter as the head. This is the true Church to which you are to belong today. Only those who are part of this Church will be able to withstand the attacks and persecutions that will soon come upon the believers. There will be much suffering because of the upheavals that are very near. My Son will give you the strength to live through it all. I am praying for you all.”
